CAPSTONE

The CAPSTONE® Instruments
are some of the most versatile instruments used for spinal surgery.
The CAPSTONE® Instruments can be used in combination with Medtronic's METRx™ X-TUBE™ System, PYRAMETRIX® ADVANCE Instruments, and the CD HORIZON® SEXTANT® Rod Insertion System to allow a surgeon to approach the spine using an open, mini-open or minimally invasive technique.

CD HORIZON - ANTARES

The CD HORIZON® ANTARES® Spinal System
is part of an integrated group of spinal instrumentation systems that are designed to provide the spine surgeon with the most advanced options for treating a broad range of clinical indications. With this addition, spine surgeons are able to take full advantage of the anterior exposure of the spine for the treatment of spinal trauma, deformity, and tumors. Several advances in this instrumentation system make it easier to use and more versatile, while simultaneously providing superior correction and fixation of the anterior spinal column for many surgical indications

CD HORIZON - LEGACY

The CD HORIZON® LEGACY™ Spinal System offers a comprehensive solution for immobilizing and stabilizing spinal deformities in certain types of patients, particularly those with a smaller stature, as an adjunct to fusion of the thoracic, lumbar, and/or sacral spine.

The CD HORIZON® LEGACY™ Spinal System offers specific posterior treatment solutions for smaller stature patients and, because of the system's single and dual rod options, anterior treatment solutions for smaller and larger stature patients alike.

CD HORIZON - SEXTANT

The CD HORIZON® SEXTANT® Spinal System
allows surgeons to deliver and apply screw and rod implants to the posterior (back) of the spine without the major muscle and tissue disruption encountered with traditional spinal fusion surgeries. This minimally invasive technique potentially allows significant patient benefits.
- Shorter hospital stays - one to three days vs. up to a week with open surgery
- Smaller scars - one-inch scars vs. six- to eight-inch scars
- Shorter recovery periods
- Less postoperative pain - no muscle cutting or stripping
Common conditions indicated for this procedure include severe disc degeneration, recurrent disc herniation, misaligned vertebrae, or traumatic fracture. The CD HORIZON® SEXTANT® Spinal System can only be used for conditions affecting the lumbar spine.

ATLANTIS

Over the past twenty years, there has been a significant increase in the use of cervical plates for single and multi-level anterior cervical surgery. One of the goals of a cervical plate is to improve initial stability in the post-operative period in order to decrease the need for wearing a cervical collar and result in a faster return to normal activities. In addition, anterior cervical plate fixation can potentially decrease the complications of graft dislocation, end plate fracture, and late kyphotic collapse.

METR-x

The unique, muscle-splitting METRx™ MicroDiscectomy System provides access to the spine with less tissue trauma than associated with traditional surgeries to relieve pressure on nerves. Posterior approach procedures with this system offer significant potential benefits.
- Shorter hospital stays - outpatient surgery vs. two to three days with open surgery
- Smaller scars - one inch vs. up to four inches
- Quicker return to work and normal activities
- Avoidance of general anesthetic
Less post-operative pain - no muscle cutting or stripping

DIAM

The DIAM for spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease
The DIAM Spinal Stabilization System is a non-rigid interspinous spacer
The DIAM is an “H” shaped polyester-covered, silicone bumper that is placed between the spinous processes with a mesh band and suture to hold it in place.
Indications for DIAM include
> Arthropatic Facet Syndrome
> Posterior Prosthesis for discal Assistance
> Transitional Osteosynthesis
> Foraminal Stenosis

INFUSE

INFUSE® Bone Graft aids the treatment of acute, open fractures of the tibial shaft, a bone in the lower leg. INFUSE® Bone Graft is used in addition to wound management and fracture stabilization using an intermedullary nail, also known as an IM nail, a metal rod placed inside of your broken lower leg bone.
A study, published in a 2002 issue of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, found that INFUSE® Bone Graft improved healing in acute, open tibia fractures when compared to standard wound care - a key benefit for both patients and physicians. INFUSE® Bone Graft also reduced the need for secondary procedures by 44 percent
What is INFUSE® Bone Graft?
INFUSE® Bone Graft consists of two parts - a solution containing rhBMP-2 (recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2) and the ACS (absorbable collagen sponge). The protein is a genetically engineered version of a natural protein normally found in small quantities in the body. The purpose of the protein is to stimulate bone formation
